Under 18’s short story competition March 22

First place:

‘Simply Bug Burger’ by Ryan Lee (12) from South Korea. A charming coming of age story as a boy and his Father break the last taboo of eco-friendly living and whet the appetite of the locals with delicious bug burgers.

We also enjoyed ‘After the Storm’ by Ethan Spivey (age 15) from Devon, UK. A young adult drama about a girl facing new challenges as she leaves her industrial home and arrives at a self-sustaining island.
