Congratulations to Nancy Lord who won first prize for her excellent and evocative story ‘Come Help Me’ . Well done as well to Adrian Ellis who won 2nd prize for his imaginative story ‘The Buildings are Singing’ which made me laugh out loud in parts. Meg Smith was the best student entry for her futuristic story ‘The Return’.

I’d like to enter your competition for a stage play touching on ideas of sustainable societies. Your advertisement in Writing Magazine – Competition Guide 2019 says 60-80 pages. Please will you give me an idea of how many words you would like? Have you any examples of plays which have won prizes in the past?
